Lacing Up for Cancer Care 5K & 1 Mile Run/Walk and Rock
The event takes place in downtown Statesville at 315 W. Broad St. on October 3, 2026. It offers a timed 5K run/walk, an untimed 1-mile run/walk, and a limited seating Rocking for Cancer Care activity.

The event is sponsored by the Iredell Health Foundation. One hundred percent of race proceeds benefit the Iredell Health Foundation Cancer Care & Patient Support Fund, which provides financial assistance to patients during cancer treatment.
Registration information is provided for each option. General registration opens June 1, 2026; rocking registrations open June 15, 2026. Published registration fees are $35 for the 5K (race day $45), $25 for the 1 Mile (race day $35), and $25 for Rocking for Cancer Care. Official event T-shirts are guaranteed for participants who register by September 8, 2026.
Additional event details include that the course and site are stroller friendly and that dogs are not allowed. Packet pick-up is listed at the Iredell Health Foundation offices in Statesville.
