Lacing Up for a Cure 5K
The 3rd Annual Lacing Up for a Cure 5K and one mile Run/Walk/Rock takes place on Saturday, October 3, 2026 in Downtown Statesville, North Carolina. The event brings together runners, walkers, and rockers of varying ages to raise funds for local cancer patient support.
Participation options include:
- 5K Run/Walk, $35 entry
- 1 Mile Run/Walk/Rock, $25 entry
- Rocking for Cancer Care activity, $25 entry
All proceeds support the Cancer Care & Patient Support Fund of the Iredell Health Foundation. The fund provides financial assistance to patients undergoing active cancer treatment, including help with transportation, lodging, and discretionary needs.
Medals are awarded for the 5K only. Awards include overall and masters placements for male and female finishers, plus first through third place in age groups: under 12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and older.
