Lacing Up for Cancer Care 5K and 1 Mile Run/Walk
The event takes place in downtown Statesville at 315 W. Broad St. It includes a 5K Run/Walk and a 1 Mile Run/Walk (untimed) and is organized to raise funds for local cancer patient support. Iredell Health System is the event sponsor and 100% of race proceeds benefit the Iredell Health Foundation Cancer Care & Patient Support Fund, which provides financial assistance to patients.

The event is stroller friendly and does not allow dogs. Official event T-shirts are guaranteed for participants who register by September 8, 2026. Registration opens June 1, 2026 and closes October 2, 2026. Published registration fees are $35 for the 5K and $25 for the 1 Mile; higher fees apply on race day.
Packet pick-up is available at Iredell Health Foundation, 734 Hartness Rd., Statesville, on October 1 and October 2. Medals are provided for the 5K only. Awards include overall and masters top three for male and female, plus first through third place in each age group: Under 12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and older.
