Lace Up For Learning Charity Run
Lace Up For Learning is an annual charity run that raises funds to support education and local schools. The event is organized by five student volunteers who aim to build community and improve educational resources.
The 2027 event is scheduled for April 25, 2027 in Folsom, California, at 100 Prewett Drive. The run offers the following race options:
- 5 km
- 10 km
All 5k and 10k participants receive a running bib, an event t-shirt, and an event-specific medal. A separate obstacle-course fun run for children under age 8 will take place on the large grass area of Cohn Park; children who complete the fun run receive a generic medal. Parents may join their children on the course or watch from the sidelines, and kids may run the course multiple times.
The course follows the Parkway community trails, which are open to the public. Strollers and dogs are allowed on the trails. Event amenities listed include an MC, a DJ, a face painter, post-race snacks, and access to the Cohn Park playground. Street parking is available for free in the neighborhood and the parking lot at Oak Chan Elementary is also available.
