Lace Up For Learning Charity Run
Lace Up For Learning is an annual charity run in Folsom, California that raises funds for education and supports Sacramento teachers and schools. The event is organized by five friends who aim to build community through running and donations.
The event offers multiple participation options:

- 10k run
- Kids fun run obstacle course for children under 8
All 5k and 10k runners receive a running bib, an event t-shirt, and an event-specific medal. Children who take part in the fun run receive a generic medal. Event t-shirts are only guaranteed for participants who register before April 14th.
The course uses the Parkway community trails and is open to the public. Strollers and dogs are allowed on the trails. Street parking is available for free in the neighborhood and the Oak Chan Elementary parking lot is also available.
The event program includes an MC, a DJ, a face painter, snacks for runners after they complete the course, and access to the Cohn Park playground. Funds come from donor contributions and participant support; the organizer reports $20,558 raised toward a $20,000 goal.
