Labor of Love - Merging Forces Run
The Labor of Love - Merging Forces Run is an inaugural athletic event held in Long Beach, California. Organized by CaliFlow Runs in partnership with the nonprofit Merge Opportunities, the event serves as a fundraiser and awareness platform for programs supporting underserved youth and individuals transitioning out of the foster care system. The races are held on Labor Day at Shoreline Aquatic Park.
The course is located at Shoreline Village and follows a route that begins near the local lighthouse. Participants travel through the village and onto a flat, paved beach path along the waterfront. The event features professional chip timing powered by ChronoTrack, providing results shortly after participants cross the finish line.
Course infrastructure includes multiple water stations positioned along the route. Attendees can also access a finish line festival area featuring music and various vendors. The organizers provide race day photos to all participants at no additional cost.

- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 1 Miler
- Kids 400 Yard Dash
