El Segundo PTA Run for Education
The El Segundo PTA Run for Education is a community fundraising event hosted by the El Segundo PTA Council. The event for 2026 takes place in El Segundo and features road race distances through downtown and surrounding neighborhoods in a mild coastal climate.
Both the 5K and 10K courses are USATF certified (sanction no. 26-33-160500) and the event is included in the USATF Southern California Grand Prix series. Award medals are given to the top three finishers in each age group for the 5K and 10K. All finishers receive a finisher medal.

Pre-race packet pickup and shirt distribution are held at Easton Gym, 505 Main St, El Segundo, on April 23 and April 24, with limited packet pickup available on race day. A community spaghetti dinner is scheduled the evening before the race at the El Segundo Scout House; dinner options include plain sauce, meat sauce, and a kids butter pasta option, and all dinners include pasta, salad, a bread roll, and a drink. The event relies on volunteers and accepts tax-deductible donations to the El Segundo Council of PTAs, a 501(c)(3) organization, EIN 23-7024342.
