Kiwanis El Segundo PTA Run for Education : April 25, 2026
The Kiwanis El Segundo PTA Run for Education takes place in El Segundo, CA, with start and finish at El Segundo High School, 640 Main St. Proceeds benefit the El Segundo Unified Schools, supporting students pre-K through 12th grade. The event is USA Track and Field (USATF) sanctioned and features certified courses (CA21007TEB and CA21021TEB). The event will be held rain or shine.
Events and race features
- 5K Run/Walk (loop through local neighborhoods on closed streets; easy-to-moderate hills)
- 10K Run (course equals the 5K loop run twice)
- 1K Kids Fun Run (ages 6 to 10)
- 1/2K Kids Fun Run (ages 2 to 5)
The event uses chip timing and includes mile markers and multiple water stations. All 5K, 10K, and Fun Run participants receive custom die cast finisher medals. All registrants receive a custom race t-shirt while supplies last and a goodie bag. Awards include trophies for the top three overall male and female 5K and 10K winners, medals for top three in multiple age categories, and special medals for team winners. Pre-race packet pickup is scheduled for April 23 and April 24, 2026; online registration closes April 25, 2026. A large post-race finish line expo is part of the event.
