A Better World Running organizes a set of road races on the Long Beach Shoreline Path in Belmont Shores. The event occurs on March 14, 2027, during St. Patrick's Day weekend and offers multiple distance options along the beach path near 5400 E Ocean Blvd.
The course is an open, marked route on the beach path with out-and-back loops. An aid station at the turnaround provides water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and GU gels. Loop configurations are provided for each distance and participants should share the path with pedestrians, cyclists, and other users.
Distances
- 5 km out-and-back route on the marked beach path.
- 10 km two 5 km loops.
- 15 km three 5 km loops.
- Half marathon three 4.36 mile loops.
Registration features include custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, free videos, live results at finish, chip timing, age group awards, race photos tied to bibs, cinematic highlight reels, trophies and achievement badges, an Ascend Index ranking and an organizer app. Race day registration accepts several payment methods and listed prices apply for on-site entry. Transfers are allowed through the organizer and there is a no refund policy. A volunteer option can provide a free race entry.
