Happy Lunar New Year 5k 10k 15k Half Marathon - Long Beach - February 6, 2027
The event is held along the Long Beach Shoreline Path at 5400 E Ocean Blvd in Belmont Shores, Long Beach, CA. It uses an open beach-path course with marked out and back loops and asks participants to be courteous to pedestrians, runners, and cyclists.
An aid station is located at the turnaround at the start/finish and provides water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels. Course formats are described as follows:
- 5k out and back
- 10k two 5k loops
- 15k three 5k loops
- Half marathon three 4.36 mile loops
Registration packages include custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, free videos, live results at the moment of finishing, free photos linked to bibs, cinematic race highlight reels, trophies and achievement badges, and age group awards that must be picked up at the race. The organizer also offers an app to track races, photos, and videos, an Ascend Index ranking and crew features, snacks and samples, and group discounts for three or more participants (auto applied on Race Ascend).
Transfers are allowed only by request and there is a no refund policy. A 3 hour 15 minute time limit applies to the half marathon; participants needing more time must request an early start. Race day registration prices range from $35 to $50 and accepted payment methods include card, cash, Apple Pay, Venmo, Zelle, and PayPal.
