The event takes place on December 26, 2026 at the Long Beach path in Belmont Shores, located at 5400 E. Ocean Blvd, Long Beach. It offers multiple distance options along a marked course on the oceanfront path.

- 5k out-and-back route
- 10k two 5k loops
- 15k three 5k loops
- Half marathon three 4.36 mile loops
Registration includes custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, free videos, live results at finish, and free race photos searchable by bib number. Additional media features include cinematic race highlight reels, trophies and achievement badges, an Ascend Index ranking, and an Ascend Crew feature to follow friends and compare times. A free A Better World Running app is provided for race tracking, photos, and videos. The organizer lists an assortment of snacks and samples for participants.
Pacers and crew are welcome. There are numerous restrooms and water fountains along the course. Running or walking with a stroller is allowed. Group discounts are offered for groups of five or more.
