The event is a multi-distance run/walk held on the Long Beach path in Belmont Shores, at 5400 E Ocean Blvd, Long Beach, CA 90802. It offers multiple course options along the oceanfront route and is presented as an entry-level community road event.
Available distances include:
- 5 km out-and-back route
- 10 km two 5 km loops
- 15 km three 5 km loops
- Half marathon three 4.36 mi loops
Registration includes a range of participant items and services: custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, free videos and photos linked to bib numbers, cinematic race highlight reels, live results at finish, trophies and achievement badges, an Ascend Index ranking and Ascend Crew features, and a free event app to track races, photos and videos. The event also provides an assortment of snacks and samples.
Course logistics note that pacers and crew are welcome, there are numerous restrooms and water fountains along the course, and running or walking with a stroller is allowed. The half marathon carries a 3 hour 15 minute time limit; early-start options are noted by the organizer. The event policy states no refunds and no bandits.
