About the race
A Better World Running stages the Runacopia event on the Long Beach Shoreline Path in Belmont Shores, Long Beach, CA. The event offers multiple measured race distances on a marked, open course that uses out-and-back loops on the beach path. Participants are asked to be courteous to pedestrians, other runners, and cyclists. Course support includes an aid station at the turnaround near the start/finish with water, bottled water, sport drink cups, and gels.
The event format uses repeated loops: the 10k is two 5k loops, the 15k is three 5k loops, and the half marathon runs three 4.36 mile loops. Parking is free in the surrounding residential area; paid beach lot parking is also available via ticket machine or parking app (zone 9372). Included with registration are custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, assorted snacks and samples, free race photos and videos, live results at finish, trophies and age group awards (collected at the race), and access to a free event app with photos, videos, and race tracking features. The half marathon carries a 3 hour 15 minute time limit; earlier starts may be arranged through the organizer.
Group discounts and volunteer-for-entry options are noted by the organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
