Los Muertos 5K
The Los Muertos 5K is a Day of the Dead themed 5K run and walk held in Los Angeles on October 31, 2026. The event is centered on Historic Olvera Street and includes a tour of the area, music along the course, and a post-race Dia de los Muertos celebration.
The course begins on Main Street in El Pueblo de Los Ángeles Historical Monument, runs through lower Chinatown, and follows Alameda toward Los Angeles State Historic Park. The route crosses the Los Angeles River, turns around near 19th Avenue, and returns to Olvera Street for an uphill finish and a finish-line festival. All finishers receive a race t-shirt and a finisher medal. A virtual 5K option is available.
Packet pickup is offered in advance, including a scheduled pickup at Angel City Brewery the week before the race, and bib and chip pickup is available on race morning at the Olvera Street center plaza. Parking options near Olvera Street include metered street parking, several nearby garages, and the Gateway Center Plaza Garage attached to Union Station. There will not be a designated bag drop. The Olvera Street Merchants Association Foundation is listed as the event nonprofit partner, and merchandise and finisher items are revealed prior to the event.
