Summer Sensation 5k, 10k, 15k, Half Marathon : Long Beach
The event takes place in Belmont Shores on the Long Beach shoreline path at 5400 E Ocean Blvd on August 15, 2026. It offers multiple distance options on an open, marked beach-path course with out-and-back loops.
An aid station is located at the turnaround near the start/finish and supplies water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels. The loop structure is as follows:
- 5 km out-and-back on the beach path.
- 10 km two 5 km loops.
- 15 km three 5 km loops.
- Half marathon three 4.36 mile loops.
Registration includes custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, free videos, live finish-line results, free photos linked to bibs, cinematic race highlight reels, trophies and achievement badges, an Ascend Index ranking and Ascend Crew features, and a free A Better World Running app. Participants are offered an assortment of snacks and samples.
The organizer states the event is affordable and family-friendly and describes the racing experience as friendly, relaxed, and personal. Volunteer positions are available in exchange for a free race entry. Race day registration is offered with listed fees for each distance and accepts several payment methods. Transfers require contact with the organizer and there is a no-refund policy.
