La Porte By the Bay Half Marathon
The La Porte By the Bay Half Marathon is an organized running event located in La Porte, Texas. The race begins at Sylvan Beach Park, situated along the water, and guides participants through the local streets of La Porte.
A primary feature of the course is the Fred Hartman Bridge, a significant architectural structure in Texas. The route takes runners across this bridge twice. The bridge is characterized by its twin steel towers that rise to a height of 440 feet and its distinct yellow cables.
Available event distances:
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon)
- 13.1 Miles (Virtual Half Marathon)
The event concludes at Five Points Plaza. Following the completion of the course, participants can attend a post-race gathering that includes food and beverages. Every runner who finishes the race receives a commemorative medal, and official awards are presented during the post-race activities.
This competition serves as the third race in the Texas Bridge Series. It is organized by the 3 Bros Running Company. Participants who choose the virtual race option are not eligible to participate in the Physical live event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
