Pearland Veterans Day Walk - HIKE for Mental Health
The Pearland Veterans Day Walk is a community walk that raises funds for veterans and mental health programs. The event begins and ends in the parking lot of the Pearland Natatorium & Recreation Center at 4141 Bailey Road in Pearland, Texas. Registration and opening ceremonies take place inside the Recreation Center gym.
The main route is a 4k (2.5 mile) loop with an alternate 1 mile option. The course leaves the Natatorium parking lot near the ball fields, crosses Veterans Drive, proceeds behind the schools to McLean Road, heads north on McLean, turns left on Springfield Avenue, reverses direction at Spring Circle Drive West, and returns along Springfield Avenue to Veterans Drive back to the Natatorium.
Advance registration is listed at $20 per person and on-site registration is $25 per person. Children under 17 may be registered free if accompanied by a registered adult; all participants must be registered. Event shirts are available for purchase during advance registration until October 15, with limited sales on the day of the walk. The first 200 finishers receive the 2026 Pearland Veterans Day Walk Challenge Medal.
Dogs on a lead no longer than 6 ft that are not retractable are permitted on the route. Opening ceremonies inside the gym permit only service animals.
Proceeds benefit Camp Hope, Combat Marine Outdoors, Warrior Refuge, and HIKE for Mental Health. The walk has supported veterans since 2014 and has involved over 1,500 participants and more than $150,000 raised and distributed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
