About the race
La Course is an annual 5K event hosted by the French American School of Rhode Island at Roger Williams Park in Providence, Rhode Island. The event takes place at 1000 Elmwood Avenue, Providence RI 02907, and includes both a 5K run and a short run for children.
Event distances and formats include:
- 5K, 3.1 Miles, adult run and walk
- Kids Run/Walk, 0.5 Miles, for children up to 13 years
Registration opens July 1, 2026 and closes October 4, 2026 at 08:15. The registration fee listed for the 5K Run/Walk is $35.00. The Kids Run/Walk has two entrant categories with a fee of $16.00 each: one for the child entrant and one for an accompanying adult entrant. Parents or guardians who run alongside a child should register in the Kids Run/Walk adult entrant category so organizers can track participants and safety. Adults who wish to participate in both the Kids Run/Walk and the 5K should register for both events.
The event description identifies the FASRI community and the wider New England public as participants, and presents the event as an opportunity for outdoor activity in a park setting. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
