Cascade Slide (Bar Edition)
Cascade Slide (Bar Edition) is a trail running event in South Hobart that is part of the Kunanyi Trail Series. The event hub is the Cascade Brewery Bar (Gardens). It is listed as the final event of the 2026 series and is scheduled on Halloween, 31 October 2026.
The longer Enduro and Sport courses start from the brewery area and move up Cascade Track into open woodlands and rainforest gullies. Runners follow the main fire break and Main Fire Trail, encounter Slides Track with mountain bike style switchbacks, pass McRobies Gully and the community-built Jurassic Shark track, then return along the ridgeline above Cascade Brewery to finish on fire and mountain bike trails.
The Explorer course uses flowing single track with a steep uphill and a fast descent. It also uses Cascade Track and then drops to Old Farm Road, crosses the bridge and climbs the driveway into the Golden Gully ridgeline, omitting Slides Track, McRobies Gully and Jurassic Shark.
Event services at the hub include bib pick-up, a run briefing with a Welcome to Country, on-site food and drinks at the Cascade Brewery Bar, and post-event presentations and spot prizes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
