Kunanyi Trail Series - Cascade Slide (Bar Edition)
The event is held at Cascade Brewery Bar in Hobart with Kunanyi nearby. It takes place on Saturday 31 October as the final event of the 2026 Series.
Runners start at the historic brewery and follow Cascade Track through gentle uphill sections into open woodlands and rainforest gullies. The route joins the Main Fire Trail with some smooth climbs and descents, then continues onto Slides Track with mountain bike-style switchbacks down to McRobies Gully. Sections include the community-built Jurassic Shark trail and a prominent ridgeline that returns to the brewery.
The Explorer course, called Cascade 4.0, offers flowing single track with a steep uphill and a fast descent. It climbs Cascade Track, drops to Old Farm Road, crosses the bridge, and rises via a steep driveway to the Golden Gully ridgeline; this course skips Slides Track, McRobies Gully and Jurassic Shark.
