About the race
Cascade Slide (Bar Edition) is a trail running event based at the Cascade Brewery Bar in South Hobart. Courses run through Cascade Track into open woodland and rainforest gullies, onto the main fire break and Main Fire Trail, then along Slides Track, McRobies Gully and community-built mountain bike track Jurassic Shark, before returning along ridgeline and fire and mountain bike trails to the brewery.
Three course options are offered:
- Enduro : 17 km, 830 m elevation
- Sport : 11 km, 460 m elevation
- Explorer (Cascade 4.0) : 4 km, 190 m elevation
The Explorer course follows single track with a steep uphill and a fast descent, uses Old Farm Road and the Golden Gully ridgeline, and skips Slides Track, McRobies Gully and Jurassic Shark. The event is the final race of the 2026 Series and is scheduled on Halloween; the event hub is listed as Cascade Brewery Bar, 140 Cascade Rd, South Hobart.
