The 10th Annual Krista-Marie Touch of Love Charity 5K
This charity 5K takes place at C.B. Smith Park in Pembroke Pines and is organized by a nonprofit 501(c)(3) that raises educational and therapy funds for children diagnosed with Autism and related disorders. The 5K follows a trail lined with tall trees and finishes with a finisher medal for early finishers.
The event program includes a Kids LOVE Dash for children ages 2 to 10, with distances that vary by age category. Children registered for the Kids LOVE Dash are automatically registered in both the Kid Dash and the 5K. Early packet pickup is available at Runner's Depot in Weston on Saturday, April 10. Free event shirts are provided to the first 500 at early packet pickup and finisher medals are limited to the first 500 across the finish line.
Additional on-site features listed for the event include age-group medals, best male and female plaques, a costume contest, food and music, vendor and sponsorship opportunities, and a pet friendly environment. Parking at the park entrance is listed with a $3 fee per vehicle.
