Knox County Suicide Prevention 5K/10K
The Knox County Suicide Prevention 5K/10K is a charity walk and run held on November 15 at Ariel Foundation Park in Mount Vernon, Ohio. The event is the sixteenth annual gathering organized by the Knox County Suicide Prevention Coalition and raises funds for the coalition's suicide awareness, prevention, and education work.
The program includes a remembrance vigil honoring people lost to suicide; families and friends are encouraged to bring a photograph to share. An evening bridge lighting is part of the event. Race day packet pickup is available at the Clock House, and parking is provided near the Clock House with overflow at the Tower.

The event welcomes walkers, runners, joggers, dogs, children's activities, and strollers. Entry for both distances is listed at $40. Registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable. Awards are planned for the top three overall finishers in each distance. Participants receive event shirt and medal items.
Proceeds support the volunteer-based Knox County Suicide Prevention Coalition, which provides grief support, information on local resources, and referrals to community services. Funds from the event also support education about common causes of suicidal behavior, warning signs, and how to help someone in crisis.
