Event overview
The Johnstown Mastodon March is a community run and walk presented by Johnstown Lifestyle. The event is scheduled for early June 2026 in Johnstown, Ohio, at 1 Phalen Place. The event program includes these races:
- 5K
- 10K
- KIDS FUN RUN (300 yards) for children ages 1-8
A community breakfast is held in collaboration with American Legion Post 254. The breakfast is open to racers and non-racers, is priced at $10 per person, and includes live bluegrass music.
Race details
Registration for the 5K and 10K opens on February 1, 2026; registration for the Kids Fun Run opens on March 14, 2026. Published entry fees are $40 during the early period, $45 during the late period, and a higher fee on race day. Packet pickup is offered on the days before the event at the Johnstown Farmers Market and via drive-thru pickup at Johnstown Middle School. Race-day registration is available.
The Kids Fun Run participants do not receive a T-shirt; each child receives a frozen yogurt and an ice cream bracelet. Parents may participate with their children and must register and sign the liability waiver. Age-category awards are listed for both the 5K and 10K, with first-place age-category gift cards and overall winners receiving shoe vouchers. A best costume award is also offered.
