Johnstown Mastodon March 5K/10K Run & Walk
Johnstown Lifestyle organizes a community running event in Johnstown, Ohio, featuring multiple distances.
- 5K - 3.1 miles
- 10K - 6.2 miles
- Kids Fun Run - 300 yards
The 5K route follows Main Street through downtown, continues onto the T.J. Evans Bike Trail, travels around the Johnstown High School campus, and returns via South Oregon Street to the start and finish area. The 10K follows the 5K course then turns at the Johnstown Police Department onto a country road out and back before rejoining the 5K route to finish.
The Kids Fun Run covers 300 yards from the race start and finish, through the city parking lot and around the block on South Oregon Street. It is a free event for children ages 1 to 8 and participants do not receive a t-shirt.
Registration for the 5K and 10K opens February 23, 2026 and closes May 5, 2026; the fee for those events is $40. Registrations submitted after May 15 are not guaranteed a t-shirt. Kids registration opens February 23, 2026 and closes on June 6, 2026.
A community breakfast is hosted in collaboration with American Legion Post 254, with live bluegrass music by The Mighty Troubadours. The breakfast costs $10 per person and proceeds go to the Johnstown Food Pantries.
