Johnstown Mastodon March 10k Run & Walk
The Johnstown Mastodon March is a community sports event held in Johnstown, Ohio, organized by the nonprofit wellness organization Johnstown Lifestyle. The event takes place at 1 Phalen Place and offers multiple distances to accommodate different participants:
- 5k Run & Walk
- 10k Run & Walk
- Kids Fun Run (300 yards)
The Kids Fun Run is a free event for children aged 1-8. The course for this distance begins and ends at the main start line, traveling through a city parking lot and local streets. Child participants receive a frozen yogurt and ice cream bracelet. Registration for the 5k and 10k events includes a t-shirt and medal for those who sign up by the designated May deadline.
In addition to the races, the event features the Mastodon Community Breakfast held in collaboration with the American Legion Post 254. This breakfast is open to both racers and the general public for a fee, with proceeds benefiting local food pantries. The gathering includes live bluegrass music performed by The Mighty Troubadours.
