Knowl Hill is a fell race held in the South/West Pennines region near Rochdale, England. The course covers 9.7 km / 6 miles with approximately 396 m of climb. Registration and race HQ are at Norden Bowling Club, Trinity Street, Norden, Rochdale OL12 7RD. The start is about 500 metres from registration and is signposted; allow an extra 15 minutes to walk to the start.
Entry is available both by pre entry and on the day. Pre entry fees are £6 for members and £8 for non members. On the day fees are £8 for members and £10 for non members. The event has a permit and associated UK Athletics insurance from the FRA. Category is listed as BS and the minimum age is over 18.
Teams are allowed, with the first three team members to count for team results; teams for male and female competitors are included. Course records are 00:41:10 for male and 00:47:04 for female, both set in 2015.
This race is the final day of a three day series. The series includes a 6 mile road race on 12 June and a 6 mile trail race on 13 June. T shirts are provided to those who complete all three days and prizes are awarded for each individual race and for overall three day winners, male and female.
