AJ Bell Great Manchester Run : 23 May 2027
The AJ Bell Great Manchester Run is a city-centre running event held in Manchester on 23 May 2027. It offers two race distances and regularly attracts tens of thousands of participants who run through central streets and past several city landmarks.

Both races start on Portland Street near the junction with Oxford Street and finish on Deansgate. The half marathon route begins with a short incline and finishes with some downhill sections; the 10k includes a downhill near the start and a short incline near the end. A rolling programme of road closures and phased reopenings is in place on event day.
Event services and features noted by the organiser include an event day tracking app, official event photos, a medal, an optional finisher’s t-shirt and a finisher’s bag with goodies. Race numbers are personalised with the runner’s name. Race packs containing timing chips are posted to entrants around four weeks before the event; last-minute or overseas entries must collect packs at the event information point and packs are not posted outside the UK. Baggage drop is provided in Exchange Hall at Manchester Central.
Minimum ages are 15 for the 10k and 17 for the half marathon on race day. Hundreds of charity running places are available through a range of partner charities.
