The AJ Bell Great Manchester Run takes place on 31 May 2026 in Manchester. The event offers the following distances:

- Half marathon
Entries are open to people aged 15+ for the 10k and 17+ for the half marathon on race day. A booking fee of £3.00 is applied per entry. Saver and final entry prices listed on the organiser page are: 10k saver £43, 10k final £48; half marathon saver £50, half marathon final £55. The event typically attracts tens of thousands of runners.
Course and event services
Both races start on Portland Street, near the junction with Oxford Street, and finish on Deansgate. The half marathon begins with a short incline and finishes with some downhill; the 10k has downhill near the start and a short incline towards the end. Road closures will affect several city streets.
Event services and extras include baggage buses (Deansgate for the half marathon; Hardman Street and Jackson’s Row for the 10k), a personalised race number, a finisher medal, an exclusive finisher t-shirt and a finisher’s bag of items. A free Great Run event-day tracking app provides runner tracking, photos and results. Optional finisher tees can be declined at entry and a donation is made to the National Trust Woodlands Appeal from fulfilment savings.
