AJ Bell Great Manchester Run
The AJ Bell Great Manchester Run is a city-centre road running event offering two distances: a 10 kilometre race and a half marathon. Races pass notable Manchester locations, starting on Portland Street near Oxford Street and finishing on Deansgate. The event will host the UK Athletics 10k Road Race Championships.
The course profiles differ by distance: the half marathon begins with an incline and finishes on a downhill section, while the 10k includes a downhill near the start and a short incline towards the end. A rolling programme of road closures will affect several city streets on the day.
Event services include baggage buses near the start areas, an official event day tracking app with live tracking and results, professional event photos available after the race, and free 10k and half marathon training plans. Finishers receive an event medal, an optional finisher t shirt and a finisher bag. Live music and entertainment zones are located along the route and local spectator support is highlighted in event information.
Entry rules note minimum ages of 15 for the 10k and 17 for the half marathon on event day, and a booking fee is applied at checkout. Charitable places are available for many charities, with guidance and fundraising support provided for groups and individuals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
