AJ Bell Great Manchester Run : 23 May 2027
The AJ Bell Great Manchester Run is a mass participation running event in central Manchester on 23 May 2027. The event offers two distances and attracts tens of thousands of runners to the city streets each year.

Both races start on Portland Street near the junction with Oxford Street and finish on Deansgate. The course passes notable local landmarks including Coronation Street and the Imperial War Museum. Entertainment along the route includes live music, entertainment zones and a high energy soundtrack, with extensive local spectator support.
Entries and participant services include earlybird entry periods, runner eligibility rules (10k entrants must be aged 15 or over and half marathon entrants 17 or over on race day), personalised race numbers, and an optional finishers t-shirt, medal and finisher’s bag. The event provides a free event day tracking app and free training plans. Official event day photos are available to view and purchase after the race.
Practical details provided to participants cover race number delivery (race packs are normally posted from around four weeks before the event; last minute or overseas entries collect at the information point), a baggage drop located in Exchange Hall at Manchester Central, and a rolling programme of road closures and phased reopenings on event day.
