Kiwanis Resolution Run
The Kiwanis Resolution Run is a New Year running event held on January 2, 2027 at Mountain View Shoreline Park in Mountain View, California. It includes multiple distance options and a separate kids race near the start and finish area at Parking Lot E adjacent to the kite flying area.
Distances offered:
- 5K run or walk
- 10K run or walk
- 1K kids run or walk for ages 1 to 10
The 5K and 10K courses run mostly on paved walking and bicycling paths within Shoreline Park and the Baylands trails, which are part of the regional Bay Trail system and run along levees in the baylands. Chip timing with digital race chips is provided for the 5K and 10K courses. The kids 1K is held adjacent to the start and finish area and includes treats and snacks.
Awards are given three deep in each age category for both male and female divisions in the 5K and 10K. Age categories start at 5 to 10 years and continue in roughly decade bands up to 80 plus. All funds raised will support the charitable programs of the Kiwanis Club of West San Jose.
Registration fees are tiered by date: $50 through November 30, $55 through December 15, and $60 thereafter. Packet pickup is scheduled for December 30 or December 31 at Running Revolution in Campbell, 511 E Campbell Ave. Dogs are not allowed on the park trails and single wide strollers are permitted.
