Kiwanis 5K Color Run and Pancake Festival : Natchitoches, LA
The Kiwanis Club of Natchitoches organizes a community fundraising event on September 5, 2026, at Northwestern State University's Collins Family Pavilion, located between Turpin Stadium and Prather Coliseum. The event benefits the club's service project funds.
Event distances include:
- 3.1 miles 5K Color Run
- 3.1 miles Kids 12 & under 5K Color Run
- 1 mile 1 Mile Run
- 1 mile Kids 12 & under 1 Mile Run
Along the 5K route, volunteers will throw color at participants who choose to be part of the color experience. Awards for the 5K include placement medals for the overall top three finishers and medals for the top three in each age group for the 5K only. Age groups for 5K awards: 13 & under; 14–19; 20–29; 30–39; 40–49; 50–59; 60 and over.
A pancake breakfast is offered free to guests and includes pancakes, sausage, and a beverage choice of milk, coffee, apple juice, or orange juice. A free Kids Zone will feature face painting and bounce houses.
Registration opens July 1, 2026; usual registration closing dates are listed in the event details. Entry fees vary by event. Proceeds support Kiwanis service programs such as Terrific Kids, K-Kids and Builders Clubs, uniform and coat drives, dry cleaning for school uniforms, and literacy projects.
