Kiwanis 5K Color Run and Pancake Festival : Natchitoches, LA
The Kiwanis Club of Natchitoches holds a community fundraising event on September 5, 2026 at Northwestern State University's Collins Family Pavilion, located between Turpin Stadium and Prather Coliseum (210 South Jefferson Street, Natchitoches, LA 71457). The program includes running events and a pancake festival that supports the club's service project funds.

- Kids 12 & Under 5K Color Run - 3.1 miles
- 1 Mile Run - 1 mile
- Kids 12 & Under 1 Mile Run - 1 mile
Participants who opt into the color element will encounter volunteers who throw color along the route. Overall top three finishers in the 5K receive placement medals; the top three in each age group also receive placement medals. Age groups include 13 & under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.
A pancake breakfast is available to guests during the event and is free to attendees; the breakfast includes pancakes, sausage, and a choice of milk, coffee, apple juice, or orange juice. A free Kids Zone offers face painting and bounce houses.
This event serves as the Kiwanis Club's primary fundraiser to support projects such as the Terrific Kids program, K-Kids and Builders Clubs, school uniform care, coat drives, and literacy initiatives.
