Kishwauketoe 5K Run / Walk

The Kishwauketoe 5K Run / Walk took place at Kishwauketoe Nature Conservancy, 251 Elkhorn Road, Williams Bay, WI, on July 4, 2026 as part of the USA 250 year anniversary observance. The event combined a standard 5K course and a short youth race.

A severe storm the day before produced winds reported at 100 mph and knocked down many trees and branches on the property. Local volunteers cleared the trails so the event could proceed.

Event figures and activities reported for 2026 include a children’s quarter mile race with 44 participants and 280 finishers in the 5K. All attendees joined in singing The Star Spangled Banner before the run. Kid participants received ice cream coupons courtesy of a local vendor.

Support for the event came from a range of sponsors and community businesses, and a number of volunteers helped with course preparation and event operations. Organizers noted a planned date for the next edition on July 3, 2027.
