Kisatchie Crusher Gravel, Run, Fondo and MTB
Kisatchie Crusher is a two day cycling and running event held at the Day Use Area at Caney Lake Park in Minden, Louisiana. The site includes shade, an amphitheater, picnic tables, AC power, restrooms and a sandy beach. Camping and group lodging are available nearby with RV sites and bunk style cabins offered at campground facilities. A post race meal is included with registration and participants receive a T shirt for registrations completed by Sept 3rd. Early bird pricing ends July 3rd. All proceeds support Bike Minden for trail maintenance and expansion at Caney Lakes and Kisatchie Forest. No refunds.
Distances offered:
- Gravel bike races: 18, 43, 66 miles.
- Fondo road rides: 18, 33, 54 miles.
- Mountain bike races: 6, 14, 21 miles.
- Run or walk options: 3.1 and 6.2 miles.
Course and event details include marked routes and chip timing for many events. Gravel courses mix gravel and paved sections and include marshals and sheriff crossings. Fondo routes are fully paved back country roads with scenic bayou and pine woodland views; some Fondo distances include an aid station. MTB races use the Sugar Cane Trail with dirt, roots and climbs; E bikes are welcome on gravel and fondo routes but are not allowed on MTB trails per rangers.
