Kingswood KLAM Event Details
The Kingswood Recreation Association hosts the 10th annual running and walking event in Williamsburg, Virginia. The event features multiple distances and categories for participants:
- 5K run/walk
- 5K Race Walk
- 1 Mile Fun Run
The courses begin and end at the pool asphalt driveway near the clubhouse on Red Maple Place. The 5K route follows a series of local roads including Spring Road, West Kingswood Drive, and Oak Road. The course incorporates out-and-back sections and a cul-de-sac on Regency Court to reach the official distance of 3.105 miles. The 1 Mile Fun Run utilizes a loop on Kingswood Drive and Dover Road before returning to the same finish line via a concrete sidewalk.
Participants who register by May 27, 2026, receive a guaranteed t-shirt in their specified size. After this date, shirts are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Following the completion of the races, all participants are permitted to spend the day at the Kingswood Pool.
The event is a Colonial Road Runners Grand Prix Event. Awards are presented to the top three overall men and women, as well as the top three finishers in five-year age groups ranging from 14 and under to 70 and over. Specific awards are also available for the top three men and women in the walk division. Proceeds from the event support the Kingswood Pool and Recreation Association.
