Event overview
The Kingston Break-fest 8 Mile Run takes place on 8 March 2026 and is organised by River Thames Running. The event offers the following distances:

The 8-mile option follows the traditional Kingston loop, published as 8.2 miles, run as a single lap that crosses Kingston Bridge and Hampton Court Bridge. The start and finish are located in Kingston Market Place, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 1JH. Minimum age is 17 years on the day of the race.
Course and logistics
The course is on road with some Thames gravel path and is described as flat. The England Athletics course licence is ID 28193 and the Run Britain licence is ID 2024-46887. There is a water station on the course at 3.5 miles and toilets at 1 mile and 3.5 miles. The course will be fully marshalled, with sweep marshals available to assist athletes who do not complete the course. Full professional first-aid cover is in place.
Services, prizes and entry conditions
Race numbers are collection only from 27 February at three local shops or on race morning. Prize vouchers are offered for top finishers: 1st place £75, 2nd place £50, 3rd place £25. The event provides a bespoke medal, a technical T-shirt, free finisher photos, pace makers and a goody bag. Entries are non-transferable and non-deferable. Full refunds are available only within 14 days of payment; after that point no refunds, deferrals to the next year or transfers are permitted.
