Battersea Park Running Festival Presented by Science in Sport
The event is held at Battersea Park, Carriage Dr E, London SW11 4NJ. It features a marathon, a half marathon and a junior race that use flat, looped paths through tree-lined parkland. Runners start and finish on the athletics track at the Millennium Arena and pass under the RunThrough finish gantry.
The course is lapped: the marathon is 11 laps and the half marathon is 5 laps. Each kilometre is marked with distance flags and marshals and directional signage are placed around the route. There is a water station on every lap with water and gels, and a bottle of water is provided at the finish.
Entries include a unique themed medal, free race photos, chip-timed results, post race goodies and a bag drop. The event village offers food and drink options and partner giveaways, and toilets are located at the village and elsewhere in the park. Spectators can move around the park to view runners multiple times because of the lapped format.
Accessibility notes: buggy runners and wheelchair athletes are welcome; dogs are not permitted inside the Millennium Arena but spectators with dogs may remain elsewhere in the park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
