About the race
The Kingston 10K is a city centre road race in Kingston upon Thames that starts and finishes at Kingston Market Place. The route runs along the high street, goes under Kingston Bridge and follows the riverside path towards Teddington Lock, then returns through Canbury Gardens and along the Kingston riverside to the Market Place. The course is described as fast and flat, with riverside views on a mix of traffic free and road sections. The event is organised by River Thames Running and holds a Run England licence (ID 28983).
Event partner Russell-Cooke provides free event photographs for participants. The course is fully marshalled by volunteers and a sweep marshal is present to assist athletes who do not complete the course. Full professional first aid cover is in place. On-course support details include a water station at 6.4K and further water at the finish, and course toilets at around 2.5K and 6.8K.
Prizes for top male and female finishers are vouchers from Born Bound: 1st £50, 2nd £25 and 3rd £15, plus a free entry to another River Thames Running event. Race entries are not transferable or deferable; a full refund is offered only within 14 days of payment, after which no refunds, deferrals or transfers are permitted. The Kingston 10K will not take place in 2026 while the course is being improved and is scheduled to return in 2027. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
