King George Fall Festival Race
The event is a multi-distance running event held at the Bloomsbury Road trailhead on the Dahlgren Railroad Heritage Trail in King George, Virginia. The course is an untimed out and back route along the trail. A digital timer will be available at the finish line for participants who want an official time.
Distances include:
- 10K
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile
Aid stations offering hydration and first aid are located at the start and finish and at each turnaround point for the respective events. All finishers receive a wearable finisher's medal and a complementary draw string backpack with race swag. Snacks and a selection of beverages including water, Gatorade, and apple cider will be available after the race. A photo area with straw and pumpkins will be set up for pictures.
Jogging strollers are allowed and there is no charge for children being pushed. Race t shirts and hoodies are available for separate purchase. Runners who go to the Fall Festival after the race will be automatically entered in a raffle for food truck coupons. Prize coupons of ten dollars each will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each distance. The event benefits the King George Fall Festival and the Friends of the Dahlgren Railroad Heritage Trail, a registered 501c3 nonprofit organization.
