King George Fall Festival 10k

The King George Fall Festival race takes place on the Dahlgren Railroad Heritage Trail, starting from the Bloomsbury Road trailhead. The event uses an untimed out and back course, with an LED clock at the finish line for those who want an official time.

Distances included:

  • 400 m Tot Trot
  • 1 mile Fun Run
  • 5 km Fun Run

Aid stations with hydration and first aid are located at the start and finish and at Lambs Creek for the 5 km course. Jogging strollers are allowed and children being pushed are not charged an entry fee. A photo area with straw and pumpkins will be set up for pictures.

All finishers receive a draw string pack back with goodies. Beverage options after the race include water, Gatorade, apple cider, and other drinks. Prize awards include $10 food truck coupons for 1st through 3rd place male and female finishers in both the 5 km and 1 mile races, plus two $10 coupons to be raffled before the start. Runners who plan to attend the Fall Festival after the race are automatically entered into a raffle for food truck coupons.

The event benefits the King George Fall Festival and the Friends of the Dahlgren Railroad Heritage Trail, a registered 501c3 nonprofit organization. Registration fees listed for the races include Tot Trot $10, 1 mile $10, and 5 km $20. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
