Kinetic Triathlon Festival - May 9-10, 2026
The Kinetic Triathlon Festival is a two-day multisport event held at Lake Anna State Park in Spotsylvania, Virginia (6800 Lawyers Rd, 22551). The festival includes the Mid-Atlantic’s first Long Course race of the season and an Olympic-distance race on Saturday with a Sprint on Sunday. The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon.
Course and race features
The swim starts from a sandy beach in freshwater that is described as mid 60s in temperature. The bike courses use rolling country roads and the run course stays entirely within the state park. Stadium-style seating overlooks the swim area, run course and finish line. Park amenities include miles of trails, a playground, a swimming beach and a visitors center with a “gold mine.” Nearby businesses named in race materials include Lake Anna Winery and Coyote Hole Cider Works. Race operations use a time trial swim start with two athletes started every few seconds and an Elite Box Start option for athletes positioned at the front.

- 1.2 mi swim / 56 mi bike / 13.1 mi run (Long Course, ages 16+)
- 1.2 mi swim / 56 mi bike (Long Course Aquabike, ages 16+)
- 1.5 km swim / 40 km bike / 10 km run (Olympic, ages 12+)
- 750 m swim / 15.5 mi bike / 5 km run (Sprint, ages 12+)
- Relay options available (team prices for 2 or 3 people)
Registration materials list included items such as a finisher medal, long-sleeved tech shirt, custom socks, packet pick-up bag, timed results, age-group awards, a post-race meal, finisher certificate and free finish-line photos.
