Kilmington Kanter
The Kilmington Kanter is a multi terrain running event held at Kilmington Cricket Ground in Kilmington, Devon on Saturday 25 April 2026. The main race is a seven mile route that starts and finishes at the cricket ground and follows a mix of road, woodland trails and fields. The course is undulating and includes a couple of steep climbs, a steady road climb, a section through fields, a railway bridge crossing and woodland sections including Shute Woods.
There are multiple race options:
- 7 mile multi terrain race, minimum age 17
- 4 km route following part of the main course, minimum age 11
- 1 km fun run around the cricket ground for age 11 and under
Race HQ opens before the race for registration, number collection and bag drop. Numbers should be pinned to the front of the vest with personal details completed on the reverse. On site toilet facilities are available. A water station is located at about 4 miles. No headphones are allowed during the run. Parking is available at Kilmington Village Hall and the field behind the village hall.
Refreshments will be served before and after the race, including a BBQ, tea and coffee, and a bar. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and female finishers and in Veteran 40, 50 and 60 categories. The event is organised by Axe Valley Runners in association with Kilmington Cricket Club and is held under Association of Running Club rules ARC permit Number ARC/26/0288. A donation from proceeds will be made to Devon Air Ambulance. No dogs are allowed at Race HQ. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
