Raider Nation Athletic Events
The Kiel Raider Nation event takes place in Kiel, Wisconsin, and features multiple distances for participants. The event starts near Kiel High School and utilizes local roadways and campus facilities. Available distances include:
- 5K Run (3.1 miles)
- 2 Mile Run
- 2 Mile Walk
The 5K Run course begins on Raider Heights, south of the high school, and proceeds west toward Park Avenue. The route continues to Meggers Road, featuring a U-turn at Fish and Game Road. Participants then enter the soccer complex and follow a marked path leading to the athletic complex. The finish sequence involves entering near the scoreboard and completing a lap on the track to finish at the grandstand.
The 2 Mile Run and 2 Mile Walk follow a similar path but feature a shorter loop. Those in the 2-mile events head north on Meggers Road and turn right into the soccer complex. Like the 5K, they follow the marked course through the athletic complex to finish on the track at the grandstand. Walkers are instructed to stay to the right on the trail when encountered by runners.
Awards are presented to the overall male and female winners in the 5K and 2-mile runs, as well as the top finishers in age divisions ranging from 10 and under to 70 and over. Participant shirts are provided for those who register by the designated deadline. Parking for the event is located in the Kiel High School North lot.
