Kew The Run
Kew The Run is a weekend of running events located within the Royal Botanic Gardens in Southwest London. The event features two distinct distances held over two days at the end of March:
- 10 km
- Half Marathon
Both race routes are entirely contained within the boundaries of Kew Gardens. The courses are described as fast and flat, with the 10 km specifically noted as the flattest of its distance in London. The start and finish lines for these races are situated outside the Palm House within the gardens. Access to the event site is through the Elizabeth Gate.
Xempo pace makers are present during the event to assist participants in maintaining specific speeds. Due to the flat profile of the terrain, these races are often used by those preparing for upcoming marathons in London, Manchester, or Brighton later in the spring season.
Participants receive a finisher's medal and a technical running t-shirt available in both male and female cuts. Entry into the event also includes access to the Royal Botanic Gardens for the runner and up to four supporters at designated times. The event is a Run England licensed competition.
