Kenwood Footrace
The Kenwood Footrace is an annual Independence Day running event in Kenwood, California, presented by the Empire Runners Club. The 53rd edition features two measured road race distances and takes place in the Sonoma Valley community on July 4.
The longer course is a 10K routed through rolling hills, vineyards, and country roads in the surrounding wine country. The shorter course is a 3K that provides a family oriented option with a shorter distance and a more relaxed pace. The event attracts a mix of competitive athletes and recreational participants.
Race day forms part of a larger morning of community activities in Kenwood Plaza, including a hometown parade, a pancake breakfast, and a Rotary Club shindig. Awards, results, and additional race information are provided by the organizing club.
