Kentucky Cryptid Series - Mothman (Louisville, KY)
The Mothman Race is the second event in a series of trail runs through Louisville parks. It takes place at Waverly Park and follows winding trails that pass near the playground. The Start/Finish line is located near the playground and packet pick-up is on-site near the pavilion before the race.
Distances offered:
- 6 Miles - Mothman 6 Miler
- 13.1 Miles - Mothman Half Marathon
Each race includes awards for Overall Male, Female, and Non-Binary winners. The series offers both in-person and virtual participation. Completing three of the four races in the series, either in-person or virtually, qualifies a participant for a series survivor medal and a survivor shirt; shirts are an optional add-on and a limited number will be available for sale on race day.
The event is CUPLESS; participants should plan to bring their own water bottle, hydration pack, or cup. Bottled water will be available in limited supply, and water plus prepackaged snacks will be provided after the race. Parking at Waverly Park is limited and carpooling is encouraged to reduce congestion. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
