The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex Space Race is a 3K walk/run held on January 16, 2026, at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Space Commerce Way, Merritt Island, FL 32953. The event includes a guest entry option with a suggested donation to benefit United Way of Brevard. The walk/run route passes through the Rocket Garden with nine authentic rockets, by the booster stack at the entry to Space Shuttle Atlantis, and past Heroes & Legends.
Logistics, amenities and awards
Entry fees vary by registration period: early registration adult $35 and child (12 and under) $20; mid registration adult $40 and child $25; race day adult $45 and child $30. Guest entry has a suggested online donation of $5. Packet pick up is available at a local Running Zone location and at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in the days before the race. Complimentary parking is provided in parking lots 4 and 5. Pre-registered participants who complete registration by December 16, 2025 are guaranteed a race shirt; the first 1,500 registrants receive a race medal. Awards presented by a veteran NASA astronaut include Top 3 overall male and female, Masters (40+) male and female, and top three in each listed age group. Proceeds support United Way of Brevard.
