Kennedy Space Center Space Race 3K : Overview
The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex Space Race 3K Walk/Run takes place on January 16, 2026, at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Merritt Island, FL. The event benefits United Way Space Coast. The walk/run routes participants through the Rocket Garden, past nine authentic rockets, by the booster stack at the entrance to Space Shuttle Atlantis, and near the Heroes & Legends area that houses the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame and a large portrait of the Mercury 7 astronauts.

Events listed are a 3K Run/Walk and a Guest Entry option. Early registration fees (through December 31, 2025) are: adults $35 and children (12 and under) $20. Registration from January 1 to January 15 is: adults $40 and children $25. Race day registration, if available, is listed at higher fees. Guest entry has a suggested online donation of $5 to United Way Space Coast.
Amenities include a complimentary race shirt guaranteed for registrations completed by December 16, 2025, and a race medal for the first 1,500 registrants. Awards are presented by a veteran NASA astronaut and include top 3 overall male and female, top masters (40+) male and female, and top 3 male and female in multiple age groups up to 80+. Complimentary parking is available in parking lots 4 and 5. Proceeds will benefit United Way Space Coast; the organizer notes that more than 82,000 people live in poverty in Brevard County.
