Kelowna Indoor Triathlon
The Kelowna Wild Rose Women's Indoor Triathlon is a multi-sport event at H2O Adventure + Fitness Centre for participants aged 10 and up. The event is divided into heats with athletes grouped by swim pace; each heat is led by a group leader and supported by volunteers and swim marshals. Athletes are asked to check in at least 30 minutes before their assigned heat.
The sequence of the event uses three formats: pool swimming in lanes, a coached spin session on stationary bikes, and a timed walk or run on a designated grass area outside. The spin segment is led by a spin instructor and volunteers assist with bike setup. Participants count laps or follow the marshal instructions during each segment. Lifeguards and volunteers staff the swim area. Spectators are permitted at the swim and outdoor run areas but are not allowed on the spin floor.
Registration prices vary by date and age discounts apply for ages 10 to 18 and ages 55 and over. There are no refunds; a rollover option and transfers are available for specified fees and deadlines. Finishers receive an official race bib and a commemorative finisher's bracelet, plus post race massage and a post race smoothie.
A gear checklist and a free training program are provided for participants. Recommended items include a swimsuit or trisuit, goggles, the supplied swim cap, a mandatory towel, running shoes, and any necessary medications. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
