Keighley 10k & 5k
The Keighley 10k & 5k is a multi-terrain running event organized to support Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice. The event takes place in Keighley, West Yorkshire, with the race headquarters located at the Keighley Leisure Centre in Victoria Park. The course is described as undulating and is not suitable for wheelchairs. There is an entry limit of 1,200 participants for this event.
Participants can choose between two distances:
- 10 km
- 5 km
The route is circular and utilizes paths, pavements, and towpaths through Keighley, Utley, and Riddlesden. Both the 10 km and 5 km courses include a section along the Leeds-Liverpool canal towpath and offer views of East Riddlesden Hall. The 10 km route additionally passes through the grounds of Keighley Golf Club.
Facilities available on-site include water stations, distance markers, toilets, and baggage storage. There are no changing or shower facilities available at the venue. All participants who request one receive a bespoke wooden medal crafted from recycled Christmas trees. As the race coincides with Mother's Day, many participants take part in memory of or alongside family members. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
