Keep Pounding 5K
The 16th Annual Keep Pounding 5K is presented by Rodgers Builders and produced by Atrium Health Foundation in partnership with the Carolina Panthers. The course begins outside Levine Cancer Institute at 1021 Morehead Medical Drive in Charlotte and finishes on the field at Bank of America Stadium. The event typically draws more than 1,500 participants and is described as family friendly.
Proceeds support the Keep Pounding Fund, which benefits cancer programs at Atrium Health Levine Cancer and Atrium Health Levine Children's in Charlotte. Funds raised support clinical research including Phase 1 and Phase 2 trials, patient navigation, wellness and survivorship programs, education and outreach, and technology and equipment for cancer detection and treatment. Since its establishment the Keep Pounding Fund has received over $4.8 million in charitable gifts.
Event registration is ticketed with the following categories:
- Adult 5K, $35, ages 18 plus, includes bib, timing chip, t-shirt, participation medal.
- Youth 5K (ages 5–17), $25, includes bib, timing chip, t-shirt, participation medal.
- Youth 5K untimed (ages 4 and under), $25, includes t-shirt and participation medal; not eligible for Top Finisher awards.
Participants who register by Monday, September 14 are guaranteed the official Keep Pounding 5K t-shirt. Registration is non refundable due to the fundraising nature of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
