Kean University Founders 5K
The Kean University Founders 5K is an annual athletic event held in Union, New Jersey. The race commemorates the university's establishment in 1855 and is currently in its fourth year. The event takes place on the Kean University campus, with the course starting near the North Avenue entrance at 1000 Morris Avenue.
The course is USATF Certified and consists of a flat, paved two-loop path designed for both runners and walkers. Participants can choose between several event categories:

- 5 km Kean Student Walk
The competition includes various age groups for timing and results, starting from age 14 and under and continuing in five-year increments up to 80 and over. Check-in for the event begins on the morning of race day. The campus location provides a structured environment for the two-loop circuit.
