About the race
The Verrazano takes place on April 4, 2027 at the American Veterans Memorial Pier in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Runners choose between a 10K and a 5K on a bayside promenade beneath the Verrazano Bridge. The course runs beside the harbor and is described as flat, with wind from the water a potential factor. Runners use a well marked runner lane in a car free park and must stay out of the adjacent bike lane.

- 10K 2 loops, 3.1 miles each
- 5K 1 loop, 3.1 miles
The event is chip timed with live timing and splits. Live tracking is available so spectators can follow progress in real time. Two water stations are provided per loop with water, Gatorade, and gels. Finishers receive a medal and a technical race shirt, and free race day photos and video are posted to participant pages. Awards include plaques for the top three overall finishers by distance and medals for the top three in each age group.
Pre race logistics include bib pickup on race day only with a confirmation check in code, bag check, limited portable toilets, and pre race announcements. Rules require wearing the bib on the front torso and starting in the assigned wave. Participants must be at least six years old.
