The Verrazano 10K & 5K Races
The event takes place in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn at the American Veterans Memorial Pier (6904 Shore Rd., Brooklyn, NY 11209) on April 5, 2026. Two race distances are offered:
- 5K
- 10K
Registration fees listed are $54 for the 5K (includes $4 fee) and $64.60 for the 10K (includes $4.60 fee). Packet pickup is available on race day for shirt, bib, and timing tag. A personal items area is provided and parking is available on Shore Parkway.
Course, timing and awards
The 5K is a one-loop course along the shore. The 10K uses two loops of the same course. U-turn locations are marked; approximate distances to U-turns are given in miles. Mile markers are placed every mile. Water tables are located at three points on the loop, providing multiple opportunities for water, electrolyte drinks, and gels.
Timing uses live chip timing with timing mats on the course; runners must wear their bib on the front torso to be timed and to receive loop splits. Results are uploaded live so family and friends can follow progress. The race holds two awards ceremonies: top three overall male and female, followed by age-group awards across listed age categories. Finisher medals and technical t-shirts are provided to participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
