The event is listed for the Southeast League and the Leinster League. Race marking is limited to only major junctions.

Course, kit and organisation

The route starts from the car park, follows a track to the trig point on Keadeen, then goes out and back along the ridge to Carrig peak before returning to the car park by the same route. All runners must carry the following mandatory kit at the event: waterproof jacket; hat or buff; gloves; whistle; charged mobile phone with an emergency number stored; and a foil blanket, bivvy bag, or equivalent. The exact kit to be carried during the race will be finalised on the day and advised at registration.
