KCC Race to Change Destinies
The Race to Change Destinies is an annual charity event organized by RCCG Kings Court. This event takes place in Roswell, Georgia, and serves to raise awareness and support for local initiatives addressing homelessness, including food programs and seasonal drives for clothing and toys. The event is open to participants of various ages with specific categories for both runners and walkers.
The course for the 5 km distance starts on the church grounds at TKCA on Willeo Road. Participants follow the sidewalk along Willeo Road, cross the intersection at Azalea and Willeo, and proceed onto the designated trail. A hydration station is positioned at the halfway turnaround point at River Landing Park. Volunteers and cheer squads are stationed along the entire route to provide guidance and motivation.
The event morning includes a Zumba warm-up session and welcome remarks before the physical activity begins. Both runners and walkers follow the same route, with runners positioned at the front of the starting group. After finishing the course, participants receive refreshments and goody bags. An awards ceremony follows the race to recognize top finishers across multiple age categories.
Participants can choose from the following registration options:
- 5 km Run (Ages 10 and older)
- 5 km Walk (Ages 10 and older)
- 5 km Run (Under 10 years)
- 5 km Walk (Under 10 years)
Free on-site parking is available at the location on Willeo Road. Packet pickup is organized on the day prior to the event, and same-day registration is also available for those who have not signed up in advance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
