KC Pet Project 5K

The KC Pet Project 5K is a 5K run/walk event taking place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, in Kansas City, Missouri. The route is located in historic Swope Park and finishes at the KC Pet Project shelter.

All participants receive a race bib and a commemorative finisher's medal. Registrants can add a commemorative t-shirt for an additional $10. For an additional $15 fee, participants can register their dog to run with them. Dogs must be at least 4 months old, fully vaccinated, and in good health.

The event supports KC Pet Project, an organization that cares for thousands of homeless and abandoned pets each year.
