Karknocker 5K Race/Walk - East Rochester, NY

The 29th annual Karknocker 5K Race and Walk is an open public event held at the East Rochester School District campus, 200 Woodbine Avenue, East Rochester, NY 14445. The course is USATF certified NY24006KL and the event offers both a timed 5K race and a 5K walk.

Online registration opens December 18, 2025 and closes July 17, 2026. Fees vary and are higher on race day with card payment required on site. To be eligible for a participation t shirt, registrations must be received by July 6, 2026; the first 200 registrants receive a DriFit shirt and a medal. Water is provided at the start, at mile markers, and after the race.

Prize structure includes monetary awards for the top five men and top five women, first place prizes for masters divisions, and course record bonuses. Course record awards of $100 are offered for male and female records. Age group awards use five year increments beginning with 9 and under and continuing through 75 to 79, with medals for the top three men and top three women in each age group. Packet pickup is available in the days leading up to the event at Rochester Running Company and at East Rochester High School on race day. Awards are presented at the finish line that evening.
