Kara's Mutt Strutt K9 5K is a community run/walk held on April 18, 2026, at The Windamere event center in Middletown, Ohio. The event includes a timed 5K run/walk and a not-timed dog walk. Restrooms and the after-party are located inside The Windamere.

Proceeds from the event will go to a Friends and Furballs Fund to support the Dog Days Downtown Festival and other pet-related projects that benefit Middletown animals. Race shirts are available for humans for $10; shirt orders require signup by April 3.

Awards are reserved for canine participants. First through third place awards will be given in two weight divisions: under 50 lbs and over 50 lbs. All four-legged participants receive an official participation award.

Dog participation requirements include a leash no longer than 6 ft, friendly behavior with other dogs, up-to-date vaccinations, and not being in heat.
