The event offers two options:
- Kara's Mutt Strutt K9 5K
- 1.5 Mile Dog Walk (not timed)
Event Purpose
This run and walk honors Kara Goheen and supports local animal welfare. Proceeds go to the Friends and Furballs Fund to sustain the Dog Days Downtown Festival and other projects benefiting animals in Middletown.
Awards and Participation
All awards are reserved for dogs. There are first through third place awards in two weight divisions: under 50 lbs and over 50 lbs. Every dog participant receives an official participation award. Official race shirts are available for people for an additional fee, with an order deadline.
Location and Schedule
The event starts and ends at The Windamere event center in Middletown, Ohio. An after-party is held at the same location, where restrooms are available.
Dog Requirements
All dogs must be on a non-retractable leash no longer than 6 feet. They must be friendly with other dogs, vaccinated, and not in heat.

- Early Bird: $20 (from January 1 to January 31)
- Regular: $25 (from February 1 to the event day)
