Miamisburg Turkey Trot
The Miamisburg Turkey Trot is an in-person and virtual event held on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026. It is presented by the Ohio River Road Runners Club, a local nonprofit that supports free and low cost races in the Miami Valley. Race proceeds benefit the club.
The event offers multiple participation options:
- 5 Mile live run and walk
- 1 Mile fun run and walk, untimed with no awards
- Virtual option with mailed race packets from Fairfield, Ohio
The live course starts at Main Street and Water Street and finishes in Riverfront Park. The loop course includes a railroad crossing, an uphill section, and a hill in the first mile. There is one water stop along the route. Five mile participants receive a disposable timing chip on the back of their bib; participants must wear their number for results and awards.
Registration and packet details include online and paper form options, and there is no race day registration. Late in person registration and packet pickup are available at the Baum Opera House on specified days before the event; online late registration closes the evening of Wednesday, November 25. Virtual registration closes on Sunday, November 8, and mailed virtual packets are intended to arrive by Thanksgiving.
Event rules and guidelines note no bicycles, skateboards, baby joggers, roller skates or blades, or animals in the race, and strongly discourage headsets. Walking strollers are allowed only from specified corrals and children in strollers may not require a separate entry unless a shirt or bib is desired. There are no refunds.
