2026 Kal Park 9K
The Starting Block Running and Walking Gear presents the Kal Park Cross Country Races at Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park, Coldstream, at the Jade and Juniper Beach parking area. The event includes a trail race and a short fun run.

The 9K follows single-track switchbacks that descend toward Cosen's Bay beach, cross a rolling grassland meadow, climb and circle Rattle Snake hill, then join the "Comin' Round the Mountain" trail before returning to the Jade/Juniper beach parking area. The 2.5K is offered for adults and children.
This is a cupless race: there will be no water stations, so participants must carry their own water. Outdoor washrooms are available at the race start and medical support will be on site. Refreshments at the finish include hot chocolate, coffee and snacks; participants are asked to bring their own mugs. Age-group awards and draw prizes follow the event, and costume prizes are offered for those dressed up. For the 9K there is a post-race draw for a pair of New Balance shoes and other prizes; winners must be present to receive draw prizes.
Registration is online only. Fees shown by the organizer are CA$30 for the 9K (BC Athletics members CA$25) and CA$10 for the 2.5K. Online registration closes Saturday, October 24 at 18:00 PST. Race package pick up is at the race site on race day only, from 8:30 until 9:45. Dogs are not permitted on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
