Freaky Creeky Trail Race
Freaky Creeky takes place at Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park near Vernon, British Columbia. The event offers multiple marked trail distances with stocked aid stations and on-site medical support.
Offered distances include:
- Kids approximately 2.5 km (Sneaky Creeky)
- 13 km (Green)
- 28 km (Blue)
- 52 km (Black)
Courses mix flowy singletrack, technical sections, sustained climbs and steep descents. Routes are marked with orange pin flags, reflective ribbon, arrows and signs, and marshals are posted along the course. Participants are responsible for following course maps and markings.
Full aid stations list items such as water, electrolytes, gels, pre-packaged snacks, fruit, cookies and gluten-free options when available. The event is cup-less so runners must carry their own cup, bottle or hydration system. Professional first aid is available at the start/finish area and aid stations carry minimal first aid supplies.
Race rules state that pacers and pets are not allowed on course. Support crew access is permitted at designated locations only. Organizers require mandatory carried gear and recommend items like a small first aid kit and a whistle for safety.
Race entry includes a custom race shirt when available, bib with chip timing, swag bag, finisher medal, and complementary professional photos. Awards are presented to top finishers within the timeframe established by the organizers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
