Kahakuloa Half Marathon & Relays
The Kahakuloa Half Marathon and Relays is a scenic distance running event held on the island of Maui. The race follows a route along the Kahekili Highway, starting at Fleming Beach in Kapalua and finishing in the village of Kahakuloa. The course features rolling hills and coastal views of the ocean throughout the distance. This event serves as a fundraiser for the renovation of the Kahakuloa Congregational Church.
Participants can choose from several event distances and formats:
- Half Marathon (individual)
- 2 Person Relay
- 4 Person Relay
For the relay categories, team members are responsible for their own transportation to the designated hand-off zones located at specific aid stations along the course. Leg lengths for relay participants range between 2.9 and 6.55 miles. Due to local regulations, the event is strictly limited to a total of 200 registered competitors across all categories.
Registered runners receive a t-shirt, a medal, and access to breakfast with entertainment at the finish line. A shuttle service with limited capacity is available to transport some participants back to the start line, though reservation or private pick-up is recommended. Packet pick-up is held the day before the race at the DT Fleming Beach parking lot. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
