The K9s United 9k For K9s takes place on April 25, 2026 at the Ring Power Corporate Headquarters complex in St Augustine, FL. The event offers both live and virtual options and directs 100 percent of proceeds to K9s United, an organization that equips, trains, and memorializes law enforcement K9 officers.
Race options include:
- 9k Run
- 5k Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Fun Run (untimed)
- Virtual 9k, Virtual 5k, Virtual 1 Mile
The 5k and 9k are chip timed and include awards for overall, masters (over 40), and 5 year age groups. Overall awards include gift cards for top male and female finishers. Age group awards are given to the top three men and women in each interval. The 1 mile fun run is untimed and does not receive awards.
Event amenities and policies are described in the race materials. Registered participants by the shirt deadline receive a T shirt; later registrants may receive a dog bandana as supplies permit. Only virtual runners will have shirts and medals mailed; live race participants must pick up packets in person. For the safety and focus of participating law enforcement K9s, pets are asked to remain at home except for service dogs, and multiple police K9 units will be present.
