K9s United 9k for K9s : event details
The event is scheduled for April 25, 2026, at the Ring Power Corporate Headquarters complex in St. Augustine, FL 32092. It includes the following race options:
- 9k Run
- 5k Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Fun Run - Untimed
- Virtual 5K Run
- Virtual 9K Run
- Virtual 1 Mile Run
The 5k and 9k are chip timed with awards for top finishers. Virtual participants may submit times between April 24 and April 26 and will receive packet mailings for virtual registrations.
Logistics, awards and amenities
Packet pickup is available the day before the race and on race day at the race location. Live race shirts and materials must be picked up in person; only virtual runner packets and mailed shirts/medals are sent by mail. Registrations made by the shirt deadline (April 11) are guaranteed a requested shirt size; later registrants may receive a dog bandana as supplies permit. Only service dogs are allowed on site; several police K9 units will be present.
Awards for the 5k and 9k include overall prizes with gift card amounts ($100, $50, $25) and masters and age-group awards. Age groups are in five-year intervals from 0-9 through 70 plus. Participants who raise $100 or more through the event fundraising portal have their registration fee refunded. Parking will be managed by volunteers with multiple overflow lots.
